“You cannot stand for civil rights +not support gay marriage. You cannot stand for human rights +not support gay marriage. It’s that simple. Everywhere, the voice of the oppressed must echo-ring out or else it will be rushed by the tyranny of wickedness.”-Bernard Schaffer.

United State supreme court rules the same-sex marriage is ledge nationwide in 2015. It is absolute a landmark, not only nationwide but also worldwide. It is a very controversial issue, some people stand for it; other people don’t. When we discuss about same-sex marriage, what are we looking for? In fact, the same-sex marriage this matter should be split into two aspects: same-sex, and marriage. “Marriage” is more normal thing and acceptable for the society; then the controversial issue is obvious, “Same Sex”. " said by the extreme opponents against the same-sex marriage. However, the parents' sexual orientation has nothing to do with their children's growth. The value of the family does not come from the government's recognition and declaration, but it is from the commitment to each other and facing the difficulty together. According to the statistics, there are 594,000 same-sex couple households in the United States, 115,000 have children.
