                                                          Critical analysis

As we all know, China has the most population which the number is 1.38 billion in the world. So, to limit the growth of the population.  Since 1983, the Chinese government has adopted the one-child policy.  It works effectively and reduced 0.4 billion born at least. This policy not only controlled the growth rate of population, but also played a vital role in economic development and social construction. The one-child policy is the one of the basic policies for the Chinese government. Hower, after the rapid change from high birth to low birth rate, the main contradiction of the population in our country is no longer growing too fast, but the near the low birth level, aging of population, imbalance of birth sex ratio. To against the series of questions, the Chinese government has made adjustments to the policy. In October 2015, government pointed out the we will keep the birth control policy but to reply the new questions, it removed the limit of only one child and began to adopt the two-child policy.

With the introduction of the new policy, different views began to appear from different status, different wealthy and different educational background. Some of them take issue. Firstly, the family burden will be heavier. Actually, not all of the families can afford the second child. When the second child born, the more cost should be from basic necessities from life and so on. As we all know, although the GDP of China is already the 2nd in the world, the huge population base is still the main factor restricting the development of China. The per capital GDP ranking is low yet. And the cost of living in China is very high, especially in some big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Hongkong etc.  Some families can only support just one child and there is doubt the second one will make the life into trouble.

In addition, for the second child, parents and even grandparents must spend more time and energy on them.  China is the country with high competition, people have to work more and be busy to make enough money and reach the high status. If the second child in the families, the parents have no choice but to take after them and give up the time for the work and study. Even the grandparents will join the team. The whole family will be round the child then be tired. Some think that only one child is the most suitable for Chinese families. Then, not only parents have enough time to be busy with their work and study, children can also get adequate care.

Another one point out that although the birth control policy worked effectively in the past 30 years, the new remove policy will make the old questions like huge population, high birth rate and inequality of recourse distribution again. In the past 30 years, the achievements of family planning have attracted worldwide attention. The new policy will bring new issues because China is still a developing country with a huge population number. Although it has been a powerful country, the most population is still a truth. With every fifth person in the world is Chinese, even small increases in individual will have broad environmental, climate, health, and food security impacts. We cannot let the efforts of the past thirty years go to waste.

Last but not least, China is a country with a big gap between the rich and the poor. For the rich, to have two children is not a challenge while the poor families will have no idea and no support to feed the second. What it will lead is the gap will be more serious. It could lead to resentment and social unrest and obviously does harm to the development of China.

On the contrary, some experts hold the different views and give some points. First of all, especially for some youth who born after 1980s in China. They are alone in the childhood. As the only child for the family, although they enjoyed enough love and cares, they had a feeling of alone all the time. There is no one to share with the emotions and listen to them. They admire the people who has brothers and sisters. So, if there are two children in a family, the question could be solved. Children will have the partners in the families to play with them and be a listener for each other. Even when they grow up, they can help each other. Furthermore, let parents have dependence when they be old. If there is only one child in the family and the child will go another place to study and work, the home will be lifeless and no one around parents. But if have two children, the older one goes while the younger can still accompany with parents. When parents be old, the children can take after them in turns. The situation that since the children are busy to ignore the older will not happen again. Meanwhile, the more children will Promote competition between children. In the families, parents could use the competition and reward to encourage children study harder. These children will be easier to step into the society and succeed. In this situation children can not only grow better, but also can avoid spoiling only one child. The last point is also important. Because of the birth control in the past, China has stepped into a society with the aging of population problem and the imbalance of gender. If adopted the two-child policy, this problem should be relieved.
