The entire existence of sports is based on the fact that every single person on the playing field is just a normal person that has been gifted with special skills that they have demonstrated naturally. Performance enhancing drugs have been a problem since even before Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were labeled cheaters after using them in their professional baseball careers. Performance enhancing drugs should be illegal.  Dope testing needs to continue so that people won’t harm their bodies and professional sport careers.

  As long as Doping is still illegal in sports, testing everyone for amphetamines is absolutely necessary. In order to protect those who chose to be clean and catch the ones trying to cheat,  testing must continue in order to keep the integrity of the respected sport. It could be compared to the United States government by protecting the innocent and making sure the guilty which in this case are the ‘users’ in which they need to be apprehended. Rosters are full of natural athletes which is an inherent advantage (Rosenberg, 2010). If this guard rail isn’t set we would have acclaimed natural athletes saying they do not use PED’s but really they are juicing, meanwhile they are smashing major achievements in their respected sport.

  Although the physical effects of juicing are appealing such as the toned muscles and massive amount of cardiovascular endurance. But not very many users are aware of the harmful side-effects. Men or women can take synthetic testosterone to shorten recovery time, and increase cell growth which rebuilds your muscle proteins more quickly. But  your liver can become weak, tumors can be created.  If needles were shared during injection you could develop hepatitis or HIV (PED’s are Dangerous, 2015). Most doctors that administer injections of amphetamine is very unregulated which is why it’s so easy to develop disease like so.
