This proposal aims to introduce the idea of creating awareness among people on the benefit of blood donation in the Mines Shopping Complex, as part of Bank Rakyat's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. This idea is based on the recognition that voluntary of blood donors are the foundation of a safe and sustainable blood supply. Without a system based on voluntary unpaid blood donation and particularly regular voluntary donation, Malaysia will be not able to provide sufficient blood for all patients who require transfusion. It is not only highlights on the importance of voluntary blood donors for blood safety and availability, but also for the enhancement of a country's social capital since voluntary blood donors can be considered as a valuable national asset.

By designating one special day to approach people to voluntarily donates their blood as well as promote to the people on some other benefits of blood donation, it is hoped that a new generation of blood donors will realize on this significant event and providing sufficient supplies of the safest blood possible for use wherever and whenever it is needed to save lives.
