Ineffective Gun Violence Prevention Strategies: Rough Draft

The Second Amendment gives us rights as people the right to bear arms. The idea of setting better strict laws that allow only for hunting use, and regulations that will enable little more freedom has been talked about for over the years. The best debate is protecting the Second Amendment that people have more security when possessing a gun. Although this is possibly true, the gun control law provides more than comfort for the people. The second amendment has a lot of benefits, but many issues come with having the right to own a firearm. One of the dangers includes violence and death among our children. If Gun Laws are put into place, it will help prevent a lot of deaths of innocent people who carry guns. Gun Control will also help avoid terrorism against us or anyone else with the terrorists using and other deadly hostage situations. To place the populace of the U. S., we have a job as voters to push a stricter Gun Control law ridding all weapons, except for hunting.

According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, the 54 1/2%  of citizens that are threatened by an attacker with a gun are more likely to get a gun pulled out on them in return.  The other half of the victims who use self-defense or do not have a better chance of getting away without the assailant pulling out a firearm. Under a stricter Gun Laws, when a holdup happens, the assailant is less likely to have a weapon, and even if the attacker did somehow get a hold to a firearm, the injured party would not have one to use carelessly and get him or herself killed. Crimes with Gun Control laws will be a lot less violent for the people that obey the law, and most criminals will be deterred from even attempting a crime if they cannot buy a gun. Therefore, Gun Control laws will help stop terrorism in this country.

Terrorism, now a big issue for the United States, can be prevented in many cases if Gun Control laws are put into effect. Many terrorists use easily concealed guns that come from the United States, getting the guns from either exportation or in the country. The U. S.  cannot suffer as a victim of many more terrorist attacks, and Gun Control will help prevent out terrorist attacks. Research done by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) shows that in over 4,000 gun shows a year over 26,000 firearms get into the illegal market (Brady). A lot of attacks against the U.S. and other countries can be traced back to the United States made guns. Evidence of multiple handgun trades between the Irish Republican and three sources in the United States also shows how readily available firearms are for terrorist organizations (Brady). Therefore, Gun Right leaders still do not approve of Gun Law restrictions.
