  1. Based on what you learn in Management of Human Resource study, identify and explain 4 possible human resource management related factors that could be contributing to the current problem.

  • Training

Training is very important for all the employees. All the employees before started to work, the company of course will provide training for them. If the employee go to work in an electronic factory without training, then how the employee will know how to do in factory and how to fix the problems properly. So, the company or factory should have training program for the new candidates. The company or factory also need to provide a training program for existing employees to enhance their knowledge and improve their skills. If any update and modifications take place in technology, training is given to cope up with those changes. For example, changes in technique of production, purchasing a new equipment. The employees are trained by the company about how to use the new equipment and work methods.

The benefits of training is to improve morale of employees. The employees who go to training will help them to get job security and job satisfaction. If the employees get more satisfaction with their job the greater the morale is. The benefits of training can also increase productivity. If the employees trained well, this training can improve efficiency and productivity of employees. If the employees really trained well, the employees will have quantity and quality performance. The company can save more money and resource if the employees really trained well.  

Based on the case study, the employees may be lack of the skills. So, human resource manager should provide training program for existing employees to improve their skills. Human resource manager also need to make some changes in new candidates training program. So that this problems will not come out again in future.  

  • Employee recruitment  

Recruiting is one of the important steps for successful company. Human resource manager should recruiting the right people when people come to interview. If the Human resource manager hire the wrong people, it will cause company facing trouble. The role of Human resource manager is very important also. Human resource manager should be able to choose which type of employee is suitable for the job.

Recruitment is the process of attracting, screening, and selecting employees for an organization. Four stages of recruitment are job analysis, sourcing, screening and selection, and on boarding.

The first stages is job analysis. Job analysis is the procedure for determining the duties and skill requirement of a job and the kind of person who should be hired for it. Job description include a list of a job’s duties, responsibilities, reporting relationships, working conditions, and supervisory responsibilities. Job specifications include a list of a job’s “human requirement,” that is, the requisite education, skills, personality, and so on.

The second stages is sourcing. Sourcing is using several strategies to identify or attract candidates. It can be done by internal or external advertisement. The advertisement can be post on local or national newspaper, social media, job canters or internet.

The third stages is screening and selection. Screening and selection is the process of people who come to apply job. The assessment is conducted to understand the relevant skills, knowledge, qualification, job experience, and so on.

The last stages is on boarding. The best new candidates is selected after screening and selection. This process is to help new employees become productive members in an organization.

Base on the case study, Human resource manager play an important role in a company. When the people go to interview, one of the interviewer is Human resource manager. So, the manager must be able to choose right type of employees for the job. In this case, maybe the Human resource manager doing some mistake when recruiting the new candidates.

  • Performance appraisal

Performance Appraisals is the technique to assess and measure the performance of individual from time to time by using several method like score card. It is a developmental tool used for all round development of the employee and the organization whether it is done above the standard level or below the standard that based on the level set by the firm. The performance is measured against such factors as job knowledge, quality and quantity of output, initiative, leadership abilities, versatility and health.
