3D printing can bring benefits to companies. However, it also can cause negative impacts when people start to abuse the power. Now, I'll talk about 3D printed guns. You may ask "is a gun printable?" the answer is YES.

In 2012, a guy named Cody Wilson, found an online organization called "Defense Distributed". The goal of the organization is to develop and freely publish 3D gun designs that can be downloaded and reproduced by anyone with a 3D printer. For example, if you want to make a receiver of a gun, you can just search on the website, simply download the program, and print a receiver using the 3D printer.

Here are some 3D plastic receivers and magazines that are designed by the organization.

On May 5, 2013, Defense Distributed made the first fully 3D-printed plastic gun, the Liberator.

Even though it sort of looks like a silly toy, it still can fire bullets.

Though it can only has few shots before melting, it is definitely a lethal device.
