Is ESP logically impossible?
The are many different types of extrasensory perception (ESP). Some of these include
telepathy, precognition, mind reading, communicating with the dead, alien abduction and many more. Scientists use these types of ESP to study in order to gain a further understanding of how these phenomenons are possible. According to our textbook, “whatever is physically impossible is logically impossible, but not everything that's logically possible is physically impossible (Schick & Vaughn, 2014).” For example, a farm animal can't go to college to learn accounting. That would be physically impossible so that would be logically impossible. The idea surrounding ESP should not be considered logically impossible since it doesn't violate any of the rules that define logic.
ESP is logically possible because of people have experienced these instances. Precognition is rare but many people have instances were they fell asleep and dreamed of the an event that later occurred in reality. This is a type of ability is used by by fortune tellers, but it's not quite understood by scientists. Also, mind reading is very possible among people.
