Global Education

Life changing events could occur at any moment in time and that's why it is important to learn about what is going on in the world. Watching the news, or reading the newspapers may not be enough to get by with information that will be important for your future, but getting the education at school will broaden your knowledge more about what is happening around us. High schools all throughout the United States are not being taught enough about Global education. There are history classes that are being taught, but there are not classes that teach enough about issues going around the world. There are multiple reasons why learning about Global education can be very important and can benefit us later on in life. Global education should be taught throughout high schools in the United States.

One of the main reasons Global education should be taught throughout high schools in the United States is because of the war related issues we have going on today. It is important to know why our country or any country is in a war and what is going on because it could effect us in the end. For example, the war that is going on right now between the United States and Afghanistan, because of the 9/11 terriorist attack, is an important issue that students should be brought about because it's something concerning our country. This is not only about our country but it's also about what is going on in the world today. It could affect a lot of people and it's important to know about any type of war related problems because you always want to feel protected no matter where you are. This is one of the big Global issues going on in the world today that should be discussed throughout high schools at all times.

Global education should be taught throughout high schools in the United States also because it is important for students to learn more about diversity. People from other countries who come to the United States usually come over to live and to find a job. Knowing more about their culture and where they come from usually can help people get a sense of awareness. Learning about diversity can often lessen the chance of stereotyping, that way we know about the person and we won't have to judge them first thing when seeing them. Another reason Global education should be taught throughout high schools in the United States is so students can get a sense of appreciation of the different cultures. By doing this, students can become more well rounded and accept others for who they are, not just because of their background. There is a lot of diversity throughout the United States, and it's not necessarily an issue, but it's very important to become aware of it because you will have to accept the people around you for who they are.
