Anoop Kerketta

Anoop is an 18 year old undergraduate college student. He is currently in 1st year, and is enrolled in political science (honors.). He is a football player and plays for a football club and also represents the college football team. He got admission through sports quota and didn't get a chance to choose a subject of his interest. He had studied commerce in school, in spite of this political science was assigned to him without his consideration. During the background check the participant also reported being disinterested in his classes.

Regarding the family situation, his mom is retiring from her job and wants him to think of a career in a field other than football.

Familial Attitudes

The participant seems to be pretty well adjusted at home. No negative associations with home can be inferred from his responses. He thinks of home as a place where he can relax (item 4), which indicates a positive attitude towards family.

He also shares a good relationship with his parents. He has a very positive attitude towards his mother, captured in his response in item 11; "A mother….. is the best gift of god." He also seems to share a nice relationship with his father as his father is supportive of his interests (item 35).

Social and Sexual Attitudes

Socially he seems fairly well adjusted. He likes to be a part of group activities like sports this is illustrated in the sentence completions such as (items 16 and 1) - "Sports…. Is an important part of my life." "I like football."

Although his response in item 2 indicates a strong degree of positive attitude towards friends, it also indicates that he has a small group of close friends; people who he seems to trust. Other than that he seems skeptical of people's motives and does not trust them as indicated by item 7 and 10 – "men irritate me when they go beyond their limits." "people are nobody's friend." His inability to trust people stems from his irrational belief; "The best ….. should have a tendency to remain best." (item 8).

He seems to have a favorable attitude towards woman and marriage (item 26 and 40).

General Attitudes

It seems he had and has difficulty in studies, as indicated by items 5, 21, and 30. He is usually disinterested in his college lectures illustrated by items 12- "I feel…… sleepy in all my lectures." He also seems to have some tendencies of day dreaming illustrated by his response in item 34 –"I wish……
